How It Works
Individuals and businesses can make donations to our school’s fund through qualified Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) and will receive a 75% tax credit in return. The SGOs then provide the scholarships for families that meet the income requirements.
For example, if a family donates $100, they will receive a $75 tax credit. In the meantime, their entire $100 donation will go to help fund a child's Jewish Montessori education!

How to Donate
If you are interested in making a donation, the first step is to register for a MyTax.Illinois.Gov account, check your state tax liability, and then make a donation to SCDS through either of our two SGOs, Empower Illinois or Big Shoulders Fund. Remember, the more donations our fund receives, the better the scholarship opportunities for low-income families! Receiving Scholarships
In order to determine your eligibility to receive a scholarship, please visit the Empower Illinois and Big Shoulders Fund websites. Scholarships are awarded in the order that applications are received, and the amount is determined by the contributions made to our fund.
